Britney Spears reported to be pregnant with third child

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 29, 2007

Maybe Britney Spears will get another chance to have a baby on board. The singer is reported to have told friends that she is pregnant with her third child.

According to a New York Post article, the pop singer is pregnant again. She told friends the news in e-mails on Nov. 14, and then sent around images from the ultrasound. The father is JR Rotem, a music producer she’s been seen with from time to time. Rotem confirmed that Britney is pregnant, saying, "It’s true," In Touch Weekly said. But Spears denied the report. According to a story on Hollywood.com, she sent a text message to Ryan Seacrest saying, "It’s B.

Britney Spears Shoots 'Piece Of Me' Video, Using Pursued-By …

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 29, 2007

Britney Spears filmed the video for “Piece of Me,” the second single from her Blackout album, at the Los Angeles restaurant and nightclub Social Hollywood on Tuesday, according to People.com. The video is being directed by Wayne Isham, who also helmed the singer’s “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” clip.

Fittingly, the clip, which finds Spears and her dancers wearing identical blond bob wigs and black trench coats, has a paparazzi theme. “The paparazzi are following [Britney], so they’re dressed alike to trick them,” a source told People. “They all go into a club to get away. One [photographer] sneaks in, but Britney, in the end, discovers him.”

(Check out photos from the set of the video here.)

The subject matter certainly reflects events in Spears’ life in recent months, as she is trailed by paparazzi nearly everywhere she goes and has had several driving-related incidents involving them.

UsMagazine.com reported that Spears was more than 12 hours late for the shoot, arriving at around 8:35 p.m. The session wrapped at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (November 28), Spears’ label confirmed to MTV News.

People also said that Spears spent time with her sons Preston and Jayden James on Tuesday before heading to the shoot. A custody hearing took place on Monday, which neither Spears nor ex-husband Kevin Federline attended.

Jolie 'could lose Zahara'

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 29, 2007

ANGELINA JOLIE could lose her adopted daughter after Zahara’s biological mother said she wants her back.

Angelina, who claimed Zahara was an Aids orphan when she adopted her in July 2005, has been left reeling after a 24-year-old woman came forward and begged the actress to return her daughter.

Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, who insists she is Zahara’s birth mother, said: “I want my daughter to come home to see where she is from. Her grandmother and I both tried very hard to raise her, and I want her to come home to regain her identity.

“I thought the baby was going to die because there was no food, so I ran away.”

Lebiso, who claims she fell pregnant after she was raped by a stranger who broke into her home, says she never signed any adoption papers and was misled by local officials who promised she could see her baby again.

Adoption specialist Jerri Jenista told In Touch Weekly magazine: “If some family member comes in and leaves the child at an orphanage and signs her over, and then the mother wants her back, you can make the argument that the person didn’t truly understand that their child was gone forever.”Wide Horizons for Children, the agency Angelina adopted from, claims the adoption was done legally. The agency’s Ethiopian representative, Dr Tsegaye Berhe, said: “We have to trust the documents we received from the local government.

She signed a document saying, ‘My daughter had died and she left the child behind.’ “Angelina Jolie has no obligation to keep in touch with Zahara’s blood family. It’s up to the adoptive parent, we cannot force them.”

Angelina’s friends have dismissed Lebiso’s claims and insist Zahara has no family. One pal said: “Angelina believes that Zahara is an orphan and the woman who claims to be her mother is mistaken. Government papers said Zahara was an Aids orphan and Angie had no reason to believe otherwise.

Flex: rappers too focused on other business ventures

Canadian Hip Hop authority reveals why rap is on the decline

Updated Wed. Nov. 28 2007 4:44 PM ET

Saira Peesker, CTV.ca News

Music producer, manager and Canadian Idol judge Farley Flex knows how much energy goes into launching an artist or running a business – and can imagine how much is diverted from making music when someone tries to do all three.

These days, he told CTV’s “eTalk” in a recent interview, more rappers than ever are using methods outside their rhyming skills to gain pop culture notoriety.

“People… are trying to evolve into business entities,” he said, noting the plethora of clothing lines, and other goods boasting the names of popular artists (such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent and P. Diddy) and the record labels they run.

MCs trying to do it all

Gone is the day of behind-the-scenes hip hop promoters-turned-moguls like Def Jam Records founder Russell Simmons, says Flex. Now we’re facing a new era of rappers that try to do it all, and music that suffers as a consequence.

“From a qualitative standpoint…

Kanye West Admits Feud With 50 Cent "Just A Publicity Stunt"

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 29, 2007

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Hip Hop heavyweights Kanye West and 50 Cent’s feud is just a publicity stunt, West admitted to GQ magazine.

“It was a complete publicity stunt. It was my idea. I knew it was going to take off as soon as we were going to come out on the same date,” the 30-year-old rapper said.

The pair went nose to nose in September when both their albums were released at the same time. West says it was just to sell records.

“Think about it – you got the two biggest s**t-talkers in rap history. There’s no one in rap history for talking more s**t than me and 50. That’s something I will stand on.”

When asked about 50 Cent’s vow to retire if he lost the battle, West says: “Oh man, he sold so many more records by saying that.

Britney Spears – Blackout

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 14, 2007

After all the very public fiascos, it would be something of a triumph to put on headphones, listen to this album and discover that Britney Spears had given two fingers to everyone, as opposed to her usual habit of giving them to herself.

Whatever about the 25-year-old’s longevity as tabloid fodder, when compared to her peers, Spears’ career always seemed liked a case of borrowed time – without the edge of Pink, the imagination of Stefani or the vocal range of Aguilera, she always had the least to offer in the long run. And ‘Blackout’ makes that point very forcefully.

Painfully short of standout arrangements and guest stars, the lasting impression ‘Blackout’ leaves is that Spears’ heart isn’t in it anymore. Trying to revitalise herself with an r ‘n’ b and electro mash-up, she sounds like any number of others on a quest to replicate the attitude and allure of Nelly Furtado’s ‘Maneater’ reinvention.

As befits a record that tries to attain success-by-blueprint, ‘Blackout’ is a soulless experience – get a pal to sing through a front door intercom and you’d be moved as much.

Eagles, Spears both have No. 1 albums in US

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 14, 2007

By Dean Goodman

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – In an unusual duel at the top of the U.S. pop music charts, both veteran rock band the Eagles and tarnished pop princess Britney Spears can claim that they have the No. 1 albums this week.

The Eagles released “Long Road Out of Eden” — their first studio album in 28 years — exclusively through Wal-Mart Stores Inc. last week, and it sold more than 700,000 copies, the retailer said on Tuesday.

The only problem is that Wal-Mart does not report sales to SoundScan, a tracking service whose retail data are used to formulate Billboard magazine’s weekly Top 200 albums chart, which is the industry benchmark.

That will allow Spears to take the top spot when SoundScan data are issued on Wednesday. “Blackout,” her first album in four years, sold between 330,000 and 350,000 copies during its first six days, her Jive Records label has estimated.

A similar situation occurred almost two years ago when Wal-Mart teamed up with retired country star Garth Brooks to sell an exclusive boxed set. “Garth Brooks: The Limited Series” sold more than 500,000 copies on its first day during the busy Thanksgiving holiday period, the retailer said at the time. The claim was met with some skepticism by music industry insiders who said the actual figure was probably in the 300,000 to 400,000 range for its first three days.

When SoundScan data were issued the following week, it showed that Los Angeles rock band System of a Down was the No. 1 act with sales of 320,000 copies during the first six days of release for its album “Hypnotize.

Spears falls in slimelight again

Posted by pinrobot123 on November 13, 2007

The pregnant singer is critical of stars who lead wild lifestyles and are not worried about the effect their behaviour will have on their careers. She said she had managed to avoid life’s excesses because of discipline.

“When you hit 20 or 21 and you’re around drugs and alcohol, everyone has a moment when they like to dabble in it and express themselves. It’s called being young but there is a boundary,” Aguilera told Glamour magazine.

“You see all these horror stories about people who have died of drug overdoses, people who have taken it too far and ruined their lives, and for me, I had so many things that I had yet to accomplish. It was just a matter of thinking, I don’t want to waste any time and am sticking to the plan.”

She insists Spears should have stayed in the night before her MTV Video Music Awards performance in September to ensure her comeback was a success.
